<- "Cry In My Heart" by Starfield Please let us introduce ourselves to you. We are Mark & Barbara Acuna, and we've lived in the Astoria area since 1995. Mark is an ordained minister with an education in theology. We have been in ministry for more than 27 years. Our ministry history includes pastoring several congregations, chaplain to the prisoners in the Clatsop County Jail and teachers and conference speakers in other nations of the world. Like you, we live in the community, we work to earn a living for our family, we've raised our children here, and we volunteer in our community to help better the lives of others. Our years of ministry experience have taught us that cosmetic changes to traditional church ministry don't make church more meaningful. People want something real and tangible. They don't want to be spectators - as much as they want to be taught through mentoring and be involved. People are willing to give their all to something bigger than themselves. It’s our love and concern for the people of the North Coast that compel us to launch out at this time in a unique way. A few years ago, God led us to network with like - minded ministers and leaders in the Northwest. We discovered that networks built from relationships are strong and are very effective ways to build the Kingdom of God. We don't belong to a denomination, but we do belong to the family of God. Our heart's desire is to help people build a relationship with Jesus Christ in the simplest most direct way possible. To accomplish this, we are getting back to basics, using the Bible as our pattern, and the life of Jesus as our example.
